Apple has cut the price of its smallest iPod from £49 to £32.
The new, lower price for the 1GB iPod shuffle will take effect in the UK immediately.
Apple will also launch a new 2GB iPod shuffle priced at £45 later this month.
The firm's vice president of worldwide iPod product marketing Greg Joswiak said: "At just £32 including VAT, the iPod shuffle is the most affordable iPod ever."
Apple's iPod shuffle weighs half an ounce and comes with a built-in clip so it can be attached to clothes.
According to Apple's online store the 1GB iPod shuffle can hold 240 songs.
